Rodeo Twister are three pals that have known and played with one another in various bands over the last twenty years. Its members have shared the stage with numerous legends of the roots music scene: Link Wray, Wanda Jackson, Ronnie Dawson, Reverend Horton Heat, John Doe, Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, Dale Watson, Deke Dickerson, Wayne Hancock, Webb Wilder, NRBQ, Brave Combo, Hayes Carll, Chuck Prophet, Zac Brown, Cracker and a whole lot more. (Dang, we should have called ourselves "The Name Droppers.")

Chad Proctor
Lead Guitar, Vocals
Having occupied the lead guitar position for some of Atlanta's finest rockabilly and honky-tonk country bands such as the Blacktop Rockets, Caroline & The Ramblers, Sonoramic Commando and more, Chad has been long recognized as one of the hottest guitarists in Atlanta. Even better, he sincerely seems to not even realize or acknowledge that fact.

Jay Murphree
Upright Bass, Vocals
Jay loves the upright bass. Jay loves to sing. Jay loves to write songs. After doing these things in bands such as Poor Little Fools, The Bluejays and Cigar Store Indians, he'll go on and on about how Rodeo Twister is his favorite favorite band to do these things in. Really, he will. Just ask him.

Matt Spaugh
Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Matt plays rhythm guitar as if he were playing the drums. That's probably because he's spent the last fifteen plus years banging on those things for Atlanta bands like Caroline & The Ramblers, Sonoramic Commando, The Bluejays and most recently Cigar Store Indians. While he still loves drumming, Matt is really relishing the lighter load-in of a guitar.
